What is a dental implant?
The implant is a device that is installed in the space left empty by one or more missing teeth, formed by a titanium screw that replaces the natural root of the tooth and is screwed to a fixed or removable prosthesis that replicates the tooth.
This type of intervention is for people who have lost one or more teeth.
Why choose Recrea dental implantology?
Recrea dental implantology is a service provided to replace one or more missing or broken teeth.
Our clinic was founded by Professor Fabio Bertini and Professor Luca Giachetti, lecturers at the University of Florence, who have been practising since 1984 and who have established a series of clinical protocols undertaken by an entire medical team.
The whole Recrea team takes care of patients using techniques and equipment that avoid pain during the treatment.
- The intervention takes place under local anaesthesia.
- The system is guaranteed for 10 years if the patient follows the periodic check-up schedule at the clinic.

How Recrea dental implantology works
Welcome check-upDuring the first examination, we thoroughly evaluate your case. On this occasion we will ask you some questions about your medical and dental history and we will evaluate with you the most suitable clinical path with respect to the result you want to achieve.
Case studyWe take X-rays and after studying the case we show you the treatment plan and answer any questions that you may have. The meeting lasts for the time necessary to evaluate together all possible treatment options: our patient’s peace of mind is our top priority.
Implant installationThis is the surgical phase when the implant is installed. After which we will provide you with all the requirements to be followed and our recommendations on how best to spend your convalescence, stress free. This phase normally lasts about 1 hour per implant.
Dental ProsthesisAfter a short time (from a few hours to a few days, depending on the clinical situation), to preserve your health and offer you the best possible result, we will provide you with a provisional prosthesis, which will be subsequently replaced by the permanent one.
Check-up scheduleFollowing this we will fix subsequent check-up appointments, to ensure the long life of the implant.
